This is a short documentary detailing the stories of several artists belonging to the artist collective, WSG Gallery. They explore the motivations for their practice and why local art matters. For this project, I served as the director, producer, cinematographer, camera operator, script writer, colorist, and editor. Lighting design a collaboration with Adam McKenley at Voice Media Collective.

Fortune Connect Promotional Video

This is a promotional video for Fortune Magazine's new educational program, Fortune Connect. For this project, I served as the director, producer, cinematographer, camera operator, script writer, designer, motion designer, and editor. 

Dreams and Details

This is the promotional video for the video series I produced for Fortune Connect, in which I translated content from the book, Dreams and Details, into ten video learning modules. For this project, I was the producer, writer, editor, cinematographer, graphic designer, and motion designer. I also directed a film crew based in Copenhagen for this travel assignment. 

Museum on the Move: Old Bones, New Home

Nearly 180 years after its first public opening, the U-M Museum of Natural History (UMMNH) has re-opened its doors once more to its new home on campus: the Biological Sciences Building (BSB). This video gives viewers a sneak peek into its new form. For this project, I was the lead producer, director, cinematographer, editor, camera operator, and motion designer.

Roy Wentz: The Glassblower

Meet Roy Wentz, the chemistry department’s in-house glassblower. An expert glassblower with more than thirty years of experience, his mission is to make research a little easier for LSA students and faculty. For this project, I was the lead producer, director, cinematographer, editor, and camera operator.

LSA in the World: Ben Ewy, Dearborn

LSA alum Ben Ewy (B.S. 1995) pivoted from pre-med to English in college and he allowed his love of product and design to lead the way after graduation. This video explores how he applies the storytelling skills he developed at LSA to connect products to people in his role as VP of Global Product Design, Research and Development, at Carhartt. For this project, I was the lead producer, director, cinematographer, editor, and camera operator.

University of Michigan Jazz Students Visit Cuba 

Cuba is a crucial location for the evolution of Jazz. This video follows University of Michigan Jazz Students experiencing the true roots of the music that they study. For this fast-paced travel assignment, I was the producer, director, cinematographer, audio recorder, editor, and camera operator.

Motion Design

Translating Ideas into Graphics and Movement

For the learning modules in Dreams and Details (featured above), I created graphics and animations to make Idonea's concepts come to life. 

Branding for Fortune Connect

For testimonial videos submitted via webcam, I designed and animated a title card and end card to add branding elements  that increased the production value.

LSA Explores: Creativity (Opening Graphic)

An example of motion graphics work, this is the opening segment for a video project I animated and designed.

Lyman T Johnson: An Integrated Life

In the 1940s and 50s, University of Michigan Alumnus Lyman T Johnson led legal battles against segregation before Brown v Board of Education. This video uses an archival audio interview with Johnson to present his quest to integrate two major universities in Kentucky. I produced, sourced archival content, designed, animated, and edited this project.

Victors for Art

Commemorating the University of Michigan’s 2017 Bicentennial, Victors for Art: Michigan’s Alumni Collectors celebrates the deep impact of Michigan alumni in the global art world. This video serves as the trailer for the monumental exhibition. I scripted, shot, and created the layouts and animations for this project.
